Virtuous and UFI Sign LOI

17. October 2024

Virtuous and UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, have signed a Letter of Intent marking a strategic collaboration under the Net Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) framework. This agreement sets the foundation for a joint initiative to accelerate climate action in the global exhibitions industry.

The collaboration outlines shared goals, including platform integration, mutual advocacy, and alignment with industry-wide sustainability efforts.

Virtuous by NZCE Officially Launched

22. April 2025

Virtuous and the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC) have signed a formal Collaboration Agreement to jointly launch and operate Virtuous by NZCE — the official platform for carbon insetting and offsetting in the global Events industry.

This agreement builds on the foundation laid in October 2024, when Virtuous signed a LOI with UFI in the context of the Net Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) initiative.

The collaboration with JMIC represents one of the concrete scenarios envisioned at that time: creating a central, co-branded platform endorsed by NZCE and supported by key global associations.

This strategic alliance reaffirms the strong support of industry associations for coordinated, science-based climate action, and highlights Virtuous as the operational backbone of this effort.

Virtuous Secures Carbon Credit Supply Agreement with Cloverly

10. June 2025

Virtuous has signed a strategic agreement with Cloverly Inc., a leading climate infrastructure provider, to secure access to an extended portfolio of verified carbon credits. This agreement ensures that Virtuous Marketplace users — including organisers, venues, and exhibitors — can access high-quality credits from trusted sources.

As part of the deal:

  • Virtuous becomes the exclusive entry point for carbon credit buyers in the Events industry within Cloverly’s system.

  • Virtuous users gain access to tools like the Extended Inventory Portal and Catalyst credit management platform, boosting transparency and traceability.

This agreement reinforces Virtuous's ambition to combine credible supply with ease of access — turning emissions compensation into a reliable and trusted process for the Events industry.
